July 2024 Result

The chart below shows the change in my assets. The rightmost point on the chart is the amount of assets at the end of July 2024, which is 44.5 million yen (about $0.307 million).　The month-over-month change in assets was +11.25%.

Nikkei 225 Stock Price Trends in July

In July, stock prices rose in the early part of the month but fell in the second half. However, some of my stock holdings performed well, and unlike the Nikkei 225, my assets ended July with an increase.

I am writing this article on Monday, August 5.　As you may know, if you have been checking stock information, today, the Nikkei 225 recorded a drop in stock prices that exceeded that of Black Monday. The drop on Black Monday was -3,836 yen, and today's drop was -4,451 yen. Incidentally, the rate of decline was not updated; Black Monday was -14.9%, and today's decline was -12.4%.

Naturally, my holdings also dropped significantly regardless of performance. And I'm scratching my head. I will tell this story again in an update after the end of August. However, the assets I had until the end of July are now gone.

I was going to give you news of July, which ended on a good note, but the stock market crash in August has put me in a gloomy mood. I had no idea that the stock market would fall so badly. If I could go back to July, I would sell all my holdings at the end of July, but that is not going to happen, and now I have to continue to hold and endure.
